Fall turns into Winter …

I find this time of year brings on a melancholy I don’t experience at any other time of the year.  The summer is ending and the mornings are chilly.  The rain doesn’t evaporate and the dogs come in with muddy feet.  My morning coffee becomes more and more cherished as the days grow short and the leaves have brought a musty wet scent (I’m sure you know the smell…)  to my yard and neighborhood.  Tomorrow, it may be gone.  If it warms up.  But for now, it is fall with a winter glaze.  And I feel as though the summer flew by incredibly fast …
